Rotary International: ESSEX (Exchange) Program

The Eastern States Rotary Exchange (ESSEX) program might be a great option for those interested in working with international students. The Rotary Foundation assists US families in matching with students for summer exchanges (and longer, if desired). Families then arrange to have the US participants visit their home country at a later date.

Information and application for this particular program can be found here: http://www.exchangestudent.org/. To learn more about Rotary International overall, visit: https://www.rotary.org/.

EdCamp

I came across the EdCamp Foundation which offers FREE professional development seminars for educators that take place all over. It appears to be an interesting concept and I just may check it out in my area this year.

The is also a grant available for teachers to develop and work on more lessons relating to what they learned at an EdCamp. Click on the hyperlinked words for further information.
