An educator friend has an awesome blog about even more teaching opportunities. Check out some of the summer institutes that she has posted- you may not even have to go that far! The Cheap Educator

If you are in the Philadelphia area, visit the University of the Art's site for week long courses and workshops.

And for teacher members of the National Education Association, visit the site for information regarding the Minority & Women's conference in Washington DC this June.

Brazil: Somos Nós Diverse Brazil @ Vanderbilt University

A friend and I will be attending this seminar in June. Though not free (and not Spanish), the registration cost is fairly low ($250) and a scholarship is available for some applicantes. Brazil, is a neighboring country of many Spanish leaders, and cultural initiatives across K-16 subject areas will be highlighted.

Since my friend and I will be rooming together at this Vanderbilt University-Nashville conference, and I mangaged to snag round trip airfare for $125 I'm feeling pretty good...an informative, mini summer vacation in the making...sweet!

Check out the site...maybe I will see you there... ;-)
